Deaf Basketball Victoria has established a Fundraising sub-committee, a group consisting of parents and friends, dedicated to assist Deaf Basketball Victoria in running programs and supporting our members and athletes.
The DBV Fundraising Sub-Committee has been established since 2007, primarily to help organise and run fundraising events to assist future Victorian players selected for National and International deaf basketball events. The sub-committee has arranged and organised a number of fundraising events for the year 2009. We will post the fundraising calendar very shortly.
The group has also created a very exciting initiative. The parents and friends group are proud to unveil the DBV Grants Program. The Grant Program is designed to assist Victorian players with the costs of competing in National (NDBCC) and International events (Deaflympics).
To be eligible for the funding, successful recipient must:
1. Be deaf/hearing impaired
2. Be a DBV member
3. Be a resident of Victoria
4. Attended and assisted in 80% or more in DBV fundraising activities

Applications for the National event (NDBCC) is currently open and DBV will accept applications submitted by no later than March 6 2009.
DBV will inform you in due course when applications are open and close for International events.
